Very nice tune!
hey steve,
nice find there.
the writing on the 78 is very old cantonese. probably from hong kong. it is a song from an old movie soundtrack. the other side must be from a different movie because it says 'soundtrack for various old movies'. the singer's name is Fan Yin Feng and this is her second release. the last two characters at the bottom say 'remember the old times'.
thanks for sharing that.
all the best,
mathieu
thanks so much!!! old movie songs makes sense, as the other side was more western sounding, like a lot of japanese records i have that sound a bit too influenced by early big band stuff. maybe i'll post it later. great to have this info.
