Oh, now I want to make a box like this with "instructions" and leave it for people to find.
Hey, thanks for visiting my blog! Well, maybe you've already forgotten the comment you left regarding the glass flowers...I guess I just wanted to clarify (because, well, I guess that's just how I am) in that I do admire the Blaschka's work. Indeed, I think that they are beautiful precisely because of their fragility and almost the Blaschka's bttersweet futility in attempting to re-create nature. I suppose I used the word "repulsed" and "frightened" a bit loosely to describe how I sometimes feel about the artistic process as a whole. This isn't making much sense....ah well, you probably know what I mean....it's a love/hate thing. More than that, though, I suppose I was trying to express an interest in people (like the Blaschka's and taxidermists) who, if we presuppose (which I don't, but just saying *IF*) their intent is to mimic or replicate life, their material or method seems to be in direct opposition to their goal which makes for interesting end results......ack! I AM NOT MAKING SENSE! Will stop rambling immediately. If you read all that....well, thank you. I don't think there was much of a point...I just didn't want you to think I was some beautiful-glass-making-hater.
