16 flowers dancing...

diagrams from a 1943 etude magazine article on a potential dance to accompany john philip sousa's stars and stripes forever... i think it's more like the forever potential of the interaction of flowers and numbers...

aside from painting scores (or music scores!) and chinese acupuncture diagrams, i can't help but think of these as design models for different areas of a small garden...

...you do know these kinds of images are what you'd see on the imaginary fresnl site someday, right? maybe i should just drop off my four hundred pounds of print graphics for you to post so i can enjoy it... these are amazing. i remember when i had time to enjoy these kinds of things... sigh... thank god you discovered blogging... i don't jones for the fire hazzard that is your "office" so much now...

yeah, i bought an old etude magazine for another article, which was totally boring and then i found these, teh size of footnotes and of course, they completely overwhelmed me.... sorry, you're on your own with fresnl, the fire hazard here is certainly not needing any new additions...
