a la lumiere d'hiver...
a winter evening... sometimes space
seems like a panelled room,
blue curtains darkening,
the fire flickering out
while a cold lamp
of snow shines against the wall.
or is it the moon already rising
cleansed of her dust
and the breath of our mouths?

I like your taste in poetry so much. Do you like Fernando Pessoa? His Book of Disquietude is one of my favorites, as is some of Roethke's poetry, at the moment.
thanks for the kind words. indeed i love pessoa, particularly the keeper of sheep poems, which i've posted here on occasion. i have a book of roethke's poems somewhere in this mess, haven't read them in a long while, but thanks for the tip, i will surely return to them.
